On June 18, 2010, Lighthouse International held its annual Child Development Center Graduation. Thirty-seven children aged four to five years-old, including 19 visually impaired children, graduated in a heartwarming ceremony. This year’s guest speaker was Joey DelVecchio, a CDC graduate, class of 1987. Joey currently works for WFUV, Fordham University's radio station.

For more than 40 years, the CDC has been teaching and helping children who are sighted and visually impaired reach their full potential. The CDC is a unique school that offers comprehensive services from children from 2.5 to 5 years old in an integrated preschool setting.
